World Premier Exclusive: ReDuet's "Yo... 3:30
"You Don't Bring Me Flowers" is a song that hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1978. It's a song about two lovers who've drifted apart while they "go through the motions" and heartache of life together.
This tribute version is performed by "ReDuet", a hot new music sensation based in Florida. Led by Richard Swier Jr. and Dave Daly - this phenomenal duo is offering their own "unique" and special take on the some of the world's most epic and celebrated duets of all time.
Original song composed by Alan Bergman and Marilyn Bergman as a theme song for famed tv producer Norman Lear. After Lear rejected the song, it was recorded as a solo number by Neil Diamond and also Barbra Streisand. However, after both versions were released, a talented producer got the idea to blend both artists' tracks into one song as a parting gift for his ex-wife. This "duet" quickly became an overnite sensation, so much so, that the song was rerecorded as an "official duet" by Diamond & Streisand in 1978 under the Columbia Records label. Two years later, the pair performed a smashing rendition of You Don't Bring me Flowers at the 1980 Grammy Awards.
HuB Studios does not claim any rights to the original song/Streisand-Diamond recording/or Grammy broadcast clips.
